Skye is an experienced traveler, who was originally adopted from the San Diego Humane Society, and moved with her previous adopter to NC. Her prior owner had a life changing event and it was determined that the best life for Skye is with an active family that wants a partner to share their life with her. Skye is a velvet hippo, approx. 50lbs, and 1 1/2 years old. She loves car rides, would love to have a running or hiking partner, and gets along very well with all types of canines. She is confident but submissive. She loves her nylabones, antlers and rope toys and will need a fenced yard and a consistent schedule. She does not need to be crated because at her current foster home, she has 8+ other fur siblings to play with, from a tiny chihuahua to an 80lb dog. Skye truly loves all canine friends! She loves the dog park and she likes to sleep in the bed with her human. She is one of the happiest velvet hippos her foster has ever met. She needs at minimum a 30 minute walk twice a day. She is crate trained but it isn't her favorite place. She is a beautiful soul!
