Penny is an approximately 50lb, 3 year old terrier-pit mix. She’s completely vetted and spayed. Currently, Penny is being fostered with a large, loving family. She’s been exposed to and done amazing with multiple dogs and children of varying ages. Penny has come a long way from her shelter days. When she first arrived as a foster, every movement scared her. Now, Penny loves the attention and will come rest her head right in your lap once she knows you. While she’s made huge improvements, Penny is still in need of a lot of patience, understanding and regular training. She still gets scared if you walk by her too quickly or while carrying things. She’s making improvements with basic commands but is not consistently responding to any single one. Her weight is still low and while she’s not aggressive in any capacity, she is very pushy during meal time. She’s never snapped, growled or had any negative response to animals or humans while eating or otherwise. Penny is completely kennel trained and loves her space though she’s had a few accidents inside after long periods of indoor time. She loves to play and wrestle around with her foster siblings, take naps in the living room and chew on bones. Penny has never chewed on shoes or anything outside of her toys. She also has never tried to get onto the couches or beds at her foster home. She’s such a loving girl once she knows you care for her. Penny will thrive with a kind, patient family that already has fur babies.
